HOMEPRENEUERS the Home office-Business

The month of March will mark the return of our “Tip of the Month” series. This month we will be focused on the Home office space. This is a huge growing area in the world. Because of the many economical changes we have seen Internationally, the focus on operating overhead and a more hands-on approach for the small business owner is gaining a large following.

Take a good look at the report and statistics in the PDF download provided here. You will be truly amazed at what is going on in the small and medium size business world. It is the small business that makes most of the economy run here in the USA and the world. Having a Home office not only keeps the small business owner closely connected to his or her growing business, but allows for many more options that the separate office building did not provide. You will be impressed at some of the statistics in this report. I hope this will be helpful to all my fellow small & medium size business owners. It sure impressed me.                        Jo Golda

Works for Me

D-Day

In our world, D-Day has a new meaning. When it comes to “downsizing”, why is it so daunting to seniors? Downsizing is dreaded by everyone involved in the process, but why is it especially difficult for seniors?

Very likely, one reason is that when anyone decides it’s time to downsize, it represents a loss of some kind. Letting go of things is not the only problem. Letting go of memories seems to be more of the issue.

What kinds of things are most difficult for seniors to part with, even when they say they need to get rid of things?

Simple Organizing Rules

Regardless of who you enlist for help with your organizing needs, there are a few skills they must have in order to be successful with helping you. As a professional home organizer with Jo’s Organizing Services, I have learned over the years that:

1) A home organizer must be able to stay focused on the task at hand, which is not always easy to do;

2) She or he must be able to use strategies to “de-stress”, when necessary because some organizing projects can be over-whelming to the client as well as the organizer. A good organizer should be encouraging, reassuring. A sense of humor helps, also.

3) A home organizer must always respect the client’s privacy. There is absolutely no place for pre-judging with regard to a person’s character or situation here. 4) A home organizer must have knowledge and resources to help their client not only “get organized” but “stay organized.”
